Pear, Vase, Eggs ~ Vida Imóvel

January 13th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Heavens, I’m glad to be done with this, and can’t think of a name…

Pear Vase Eggs

Thank you, Jo and Leslie for suggestions on the name. Finally decided on “Vida Imovel”.  The pear and vase do look quite similar - like doting parents, but the arrangement was from a workshop, not of my doing. You can be assured I will never pick eggs. Ever.

This is so calm and peaceful. “At Rest” or RIP (Rest in Peace), only joking! I’ll think about it. I like the finish.

Thank you, Jo. I ended up liking it, especially that it was over! Thanks for the suggestion on the name. It was an odd grouping..

    Hi Regina,
Call it “Brood”. It looks like a doting ‘pear’ of parents looking at their babies.

You’re right, Leslie! I like both of your suggestions, and finally decided on the Portuguese translation for still life - Vida Imóvel - because of a couple of artists from Portugal with whom I have corresponded on www.artwanted.com.
