My backyard on the 4th of July

July 5th, 2008 · 5 Comments

It was nice to take a day off and enjoy our family and our backyard friends:

Female and male Painted Buntings at the bird feeder, the resident cardinal resting in a live oak and also in flight, our rampaging squirrel taking a break in the 100+ year old oak tree, and a few of the 10 or so deer that we feed corn to – there were three baby deer the night before.

Looks like you’ve got several paintings-to-be in these photos! How nice to spend your holiday in such beauty.

Pretty cool photos. I could just move into your studio and not ever leave. Just order in and relax. :) I see paintings there, too.

Jo, you’re too funny. Good idea on moving into the studio!! It’s still a dream place for me too… and you’re welcome to come stay anytime!
