I love your interpretation. Personally I adore using soft pastels on special pastel board that is like fine sandpaper, it takes the colour beautifully.

Regina, I know that feeling about starting late. I was in the same boat this month. But that’s one of the things I like about the VSD. It pushes me to finish something that I might otherwise not even have started.

I like your neutral background, it really makes the color in the pears stand out.

Kathleen – I love Wallis paper, but had heard somewhere about pastelists using fine sand paper. This sand paper would only take a few layers, barely, so I didn’t really like it. But it was good to experiment.
